*Off tangent again here...*
I love coffee! I am a coffee connoisseur ! Okay, okay so I'm not expert, but I'm learning... I love coffee, it's a culinary art in itself. It's magic in a cup. There are so many ways in which you can brew it, use it and drink it. There are coffees from all over the world, there are different blends and different ways of describing it. It's definitely one of my passions. =D
People think I'm crazy when we go out for coffee and I lecture them on the "proper" ways of drinking coffee but I think it's an experience in itself and should be enjoyed the right way. Coffee should be strong, but this does not mean it should taste like kerosene - it should be smooth, almost like melted, unsweetened chocolate. Instant and decaf is for sissies! Using processed white sugar is a carnal sin! Always use brown sugar when you can. Styrofoam cups and plastic ruin the experience, get a mug!
I really don't like Central/South American coffees like Columbian coffee, but it seems that's all they serve everywhere! (Starbucks serves Columbian too.) I think these coffees don't have enough body and they're too acidic. I prefer something like Yergacheffe (East African) a coffee that's been thoroughly under-appreciated. Everyone should try it. Or my favorite is a blend of Mocha Java and Sumatra. *grin* Great coffee! Now I want some...
