clarity state

My dreams have left me tongue-tied, my mind twisting over the fragments hours after I wake up. I've learned to suspend myself in this state of waking-dreaming, where you're awake because you can sense the environment around you and it's incorporated into your dreams, but you can lie there for hours and just dream... sometimes turning into nightmares but it's ok because it's like changing the radio station, very easy to control. One moment can be spread into infinity. Recalling an experience and reflecting back on it, but this time percieving the things you didn't have time to spiral through before. The tone of someone's voice, that extra glance from a stranger who was just barely in the scene and of course, that other dimension. It's so hard to describe. The moment of clarity is so sudden, so certain, so obvious; it's like being tested for new glasses when you sit in that chair and the doctor casually flips the lenses asking you. "This one, or this one?" This one.
